Vernon Parish – On September 19, 2026, at approximately 9:11 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a fatal crash on Belton Loop. This crash claimed the life of a 28-year-old man from Leesville.
The initial investigation revealed that a Honda Foreman Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) was traveling south on Belton Loop. For reasons still under investigation, the UTV left the roadway and impacted several trees. As a result, the UTV overturned which ejected the driver.
